Net User - International Internet Conf in Sofia

Net User is the first international and interdisciplinary conference in Bulgaria, which features a wide variety of contemporary trends in Internet activities in order to develop a better theoretical and pragmatic understanding of the Internet.
Net User's mission is to research, analyze and give understanding about current development and variety of practices in the global network. The conference aims to initiate collaboration among creative parties developing various activities in Internet and to provoke public interest in the new media arts locally and internationally.
Building on the previous well-attended international conference, Net User 2 will bring together prominent researchers and practitioners from many disciplines, fields and countries for a program of lectures and presentations, panel discussions, exhibition program, workshops and informal exchanges.
The second edition of the conference will focus on open source technologies and streaming media as tools and applications for artistic and cultural practices. The conference program is designed to investigate the current practices, projects and technologies in the area of streaming and artistic use of open source software. With this conference we intend to offer a chance for all involved parties to exchange ideas, contacts and experience in a very constructive, energetic and compact way.
